Nick Kyrgios, who according to Rod Laver has the talent to be the best, was left stunned by an outrageous between-the-legs winner from Jack Sock in the second set of their Hopman Cup encounter at Perth. Sock went on to win the match 6-2, 6-2 to give the USA an early lead against Australia.

In the third game of the second set between Jack Sock and Nick Kyrgios, the 21-year-old Aussie produced a wide serve to Sock’s backhand and advanced to the net to volley a winner. However, Kyrgios' volley failed to stretch Sock who ran to his forehand side and hit a passing shot between his legs. The winner left Kyrgios with a wry smile on his face and even earned a big round of applause from the fans in Perth.

Sock went on to comfortably win the match 6-2, 6-2, giving the United States team an early lead in the tie. Daria Gavrilova and Coco Vandeweghe will face each other in the women’s singles encounter next before Gavrilova and Kyrgios pair up to face Vandeweghe and Sock in the mixed doubles.
