WATCH: Wawrinka's hilarious response to a Federer fan during his match

US Open Champion Stan Wawrinka showed his jocular side during his Australian Open match against Andreas Seppi by telling a fan that Roger Federer was playing on the other court when he shouted ‘Go Roger’ during his match. Federer was playing Kei Nishikori in the Rod Laver arena at the same time.

On the court, Stan Wawrinka has been known for his cool and composed demeanor but today he showed his funny side during a round of 16 match in the Australian Open at the Melbourne Park. During the match, a fan who seemed to be a fan of Swiss legend Roger Federer shouted “Go Roger” from the stands. Wawrinka was making his way to the baseline to serve when the spectator screamed "Go Roger". The Swiss player stopped for a moment and pointed his finger towards the court where Federer was playing his round of 16 match against World No.5 Kei Nishikori. 

Wawrinka went on to win his match 7-6,7-6,7-6 while Federer was pushed to the limit by Nishikori but ended up booking a place in the quarter-finals by a score of 6-7, 6-4, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
