Wimbledon 2017 | Djokovic and Nadal confirm their participation despite security concerns

A van rammed into pedestrians on London Bridge and three attackers with knives charged out and stabbed others nearby. All three were shot dead by police in the Borough Market area near London Bridge within eight minutes of receiving the first emergency call.

Despite the security threats, that loom over Wimbledon following the attack, three-time Wimbledon champion Djokovic said he is not going to change his plans of participating in the prestigious tournament which begins on July 3.

Djokovic said, "I didn't get to that thought of 'Oh, should I go? Should I not go to London with myself, my family?", as reported by ABC Online.

"Everything will progress the same in terms of my plans for Wimbledon and I will try to go there with my family. I think it's always about being conscious of what time of the day or night you go out, where you go, but it's very unpredictable."

Rafeal Nadal, who has won Wimbledon titles seconded Djokovic in confirming his participation for the tournament but also admitted that security concerns are common for professional sportspersons. He said, "It's tough to accept these kinds of things, but it's happening very often today and is difficult to change that for the moment."
