Rohan Bopanna entered the finals of the French Open after he along with Gabriela Dabrowski defeated the pair of Andrea Hlavackova and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in straight sets of 7-5 and 6-3 in the semi-finals today. The duo will fight it out with Anna-Lena Groenfeld and Robert Farah in the finals.

Rohan Bopanna became the only Indian survivor in the French Open tournament after the exit of Leander Paes and Sania Mirza and now can go on to become the fourth Indian ever to bag a Grand Slam title after Mahesh Bhupathi, Leander Paes, and Sania Mirza.

Bopanna with his Candian partner Gabriela Dabrowski was seeded seventh in the clay court championship and managed to overthrow the third-seeded pair of Andrea Hlavackova and Edouard Roger-Vasselin to reserve a berth in the finals of the tournament.

This is the second time when the 37-year old has managed to reach the finals of a Grand Slam tournament- the first time being his US Open 2010 men's doubles final with Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi where the pair was defeated by the famous Bryan brothers Bob and Mike.

The Indian-Candian pair will battle it out against Germany's Anna-Lena Groenfeld and Colombia's Robert Farah in the finals of the tournament who defeated Casey Dellacqua and Rajeev Ram 6-7, 6-3, 10-5.
