As Yuki Bhambri's knee injury has healed, he is keenly eyeing the opportunity to register his first win in Wimbledon. Earlier, the Indian ace had to withdraw from his first-round match against Milos Raonic at the Queen's Club championship where he aggravated his knee injury.

India no. 1, Bhambri is expecting to strike his first win in Wimbledon as he healed from his knee injury. In the week that he utilized for resting, he has worked with the physiotherapists, improving and preparing himself for the third Grand Slam of the year.

“It’s the knee, because of which I was struggling with everything, serving, off the ground, running, bending. This week has helped, I was working with the physios on the Tour, and we have the same people at Wimbledon. I’ve done quite a bit of strengthening and stretching this past week,” he said.

World no. 85, Yuki will be playing his fifth Wimbledon this year where he aspires to grab his first win. Before this, his four attempts have been unsuccessful where he lost in the first match of the tournament.

However, Yuki will be faced with the task of overwhelming Thomas Fabbiano in the test up whom he hasn't been able to defeat in the past three encounters. But he is assured that this time there will be no surprises since he will be prepared.

“I know him quite well, we came through the Challenger Tour together. I think it’ll be a good one on Monday. The courts are playing a bit like low-bouncing hard courts. It hasn’t been that hard to adapt,” said Yuki.

“Of course at the beginning, I couldn't figure out how to didn't like this surface, until the year where I got tired of being very negative. And I said, Okay, I'm going to be positive. I don't care. I played on grass with an open mind,” he mentioned on his increased comfort on playing on grass.
