23- year old Prarthana Thombare and Luksika Kumkhum of Thailand have secured a striking victory in the ITF women's Tennis, shocking top seeds Naomi Brady of Great Britain and Asia Muhammad of United States. The title was Thombare biggest doubles crown on the professional circuit.

The crowd at the $100,000 ITF women's Tennis tournament, held in Manchester on Sunday, witnessed a victory for Prarthana Thombare and Luksika Kumkhum against top seeds Naomi Brady and Asia Muhammad, which left them quite surprised with the outcome. Prarthana had bagged the bronze medal in her partnership with Sania Mirza at the Asian Games held at Incheon in 2014. For her, this title would be one of the greatest on the professional circuit, hence propelling her career. This would be Prarthana's first title of the season and 21st overall. She also has three singles title in her name in the ITF women's circuit.

In the ITF men's futures final held in Colombo, Alexander Zhurbin of Russia defeated Manish Sureshkumar by 7-5, 6-2. The victory at Manchester came to Prarthana and Luksika by defeating Naomi Brady and Asia Mukhammad by 7-6(5), 6-3.
