Performance in the 2013-14 season

The 2013-14 season started with a loss in their first match which was not a good start for the team. But they soon turned the tables in their favour and went on to win their next 5 matches. The following encounter was abandoned without a ball bowled due to rain. They faced losses in their next 2 matches before registering a win. They again could not hold on to their winning streak and lost their following match. This marked the end of the season. The season was a pretty decent one for the Brother's Union team.

Performance in the 2014-15 season

The team started the 2014-15 season with a win. Even though they gained the start they desired, they could not hold on to it and thus lost the next 4 matches. Then came back to the right side with 3 wins, before losing their next 2 matches. The next match marked a win for BU which was the last match of the season. They could not somehow find the right momentum required to win the game. But, sure enough, they will do it in the next seasons.

Performance in the 2016 season

They started off the 2016 season with a loss but soon balanced themselves with a win in their subsequent encounter. But they faced two consecutive losses and then made a comeback with 3 back-to-back wins in their 5 matches. In the following 3 meetings, they again faced disappointing defeats. The subsequent encounter was abandoned without a ball bowled due to rain and yielded no results. This marked the end of the season with the team looking to perform better in the following seasons.

Performance in the 2017 season

They started off the 2017 season with 3 consecutive losses, after which they finally gained two victories. They further faced 2 losses which were followed by a win. This again led to a loss in their next match. In their next two matches, they outperformed their opponents and clinched victory. This was the end of their 2017 DPDCL journey, which was a below-average one.

Performance in the 2017-18 season

In the 2017-18 season, the Brothers Union had to be satisfied with the relegation league itself. In this season they played a total of 13 matches and won 6 of them. They ended up facing defeats in the remaining 7 of their matches. They ended the season at the number one spot on the relegation league points table with 12 points. They registered a negative net run rate of 0.159 in the entire season.

Performance in the 2018-19 season

In the 2018-19 season, the Brothers Union played a total of 13 matches out of which they won only 4 and lost the rest of them. This turned out to be a disappointing year for the team as they were demoted to play in the relegation league, where they finished at the number one spot with 8 points and a negative net run rate of 0.385.

Performance in the 2022 season

This season, they could not qualify for the super league as they were demoted to play in the Relegation League due to their average performance in the previous season. In the relegation league, they played a total of 2 matches and won only 1 of them and the other one gave no results, gathering 3 points. They had a net run rate of 0.313 in the entire season. They thus finished in the top spot of the relegation league and the 9th spot of the tournament.

Performance in the 2023 season

After finishing at the top of the relegation league, they got a chance to play in the super league. But they could not perform well. They started the season with 4 disappointing losses before gaining their first win. This was then followed by a loss and two wins. They again lost their next match and managed to win the following one. Their last match of the season was again a loss. Even though they played well in some games they are still looking to unleash their true potential.

Stats of Brother's Union Players

The team is packed with lots of young talents and skills from across the country who are looking to make their way to a higher state. Through their performance in the season, they showed a glimpse of their brilliance on the cricket pitch with outstanding batting and bowling figures despite having not so good start. With Mizanur Rahman as the captain for the 2023 season, the squad of Brother's Union will be looking to do something extraordinary so that they will play in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. Moreover, the return to DPDCL will help the youth in the Brothers Union squad to regain confidence and hence get back to their best and hopefully get their hand on the winning title. But all of these things depend on the coordination and management which push the team to perform better. Hope they will hold their nerves to perform well in the upcoming seasons.
