Pankaj Advani advances to World Amateur Snooker Championship final

Indian ace cueist Pankaj Advani entered the final of the IBSF World Snooker Championship at Hurghada, Egypt on Friday. Advani defeated Lukas Kleckers of Germany 7-5 in the semi-finals to advance to the title clash.

Pankaj Advani moved one step closer to clinching the title at the World Snooker Championship by defeating Germany’s Lukas Kleckers 7-5 in the semis. Pankaj Advani will now take on China’s Zhao Xintong today, in the title decider at the Sunrise Crystal Bay resort in Hurghada, Egypt. In last year’s competition, Advani went out in the quarterfinals, when he went down to Yan Bingtao of China in Bengaluru.

In the women’s draw, Amee Kamani of India missed out on a final spot as she was defeated by Russia’s Anastasia Nechaeva 3-4 in the semi-finals. Amee Kamani, who had won a bronze at the IBSF Ladies world 6 red Snooker Championship in August, added another bronze to her kitty with a top-4 finish.
