Indian cueist Pankaj Advani won the second leg of the Asian Snooker Tour for the first time in his career by defeating Chinese rival 6-1 in a one-sided encounter in Jinan, China. In the process, the nineteen-time world champion also became the first Indian to win an Asian Snooker Tour event ever.

Two biggest events in cue sports, the IBSF World Billiards and Snooker Championships, is less than a fortnight away and the Indian star cueist Pankaj Advani, the defending champion in both the events, has proved to his competitors that he would be a player to watch out for. Advani put in a wonderful performance in defeating Ju Reti 6-1 in the final match of the Asian Snooker Tour tournament.

So dominating was Advani’s display that he lost just a single frame on the day and wound up the match 6-1. After picking the first two frames quickly, Advani lost the third to Reti. But after that frame, Advani did not let his guard down and bagged the rest three frames with some scintillating shots that saw him winning a flawless 94-0.

Advani will now move to Myanmar which hosts the prestigious Billiards Championship from November 12th to 27th.

Final: Pankaj Advani (India) defeated Ju Reti (China) 6-1. 48-35, 67(40)-23, 24-69(60), 63-33, 100(49,51)-0, 47-19, 94(94)-0
