At the Men’s Hockey Asian Champions Trophy scheduled in Muscat on Thursday, Indian Men started on a high note by winning against the hosts Oman by a whooping score of 11-0 taking 28 shots on goal. The win was led by thunderbolt Hat-trick by a teen striker, Dilpreet Singh.

But in the second quarter, however, it was a completely different story as India came out breathing fire. In the next 45 mins, visitors saw take India take 28 shots as compared to Oman’s zero. Out of 11 goals India scored 5 came off the 8 penalty corners created by the Indian forwards.

The man of the match teen-striker Dilpreet also started off on a dull note by missing out three significant opportunities to score goals, but made up to it by scoring the ranting Hat-trick.

India opened the scoring through Lalit Upadhyay in the 17th minute, which opened the floodgates for a goal-fest. Harmanpreet Singh (21'), Nilakanta Sharma (22'), Mandeep Singh (29'), Gurjant Singh (37'), Akashdeep Singh (49'), Varun Kumar (49') and Chinglensana Singh (53') were the other men on target for India.
