Chinki Yadav, Mehuli Ghosh clinch gold at T5 national selection trials

Mehuli Ghosh has bagged a gold medal in the women’s 10m air rifle event at the T5 national selection trials for shooting competitions in Delhi. On the other hand, Chinki Yadav shot a score of 32 in the final round to claim the gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol event on Monday.

Mehuli Ghosh from West Bengal shot 252.4 in the final round of the women’s 10m air rifle event and finished at the top of the category on Monday. Aayushi Gupta of Uttar Pradesh finished second with a total of 249.8 while Meghana Sajjanar of the Railways scored 228.3 and managed to win the bronze medal.

Ghosh had earlier finished third in the senior women’s category of the Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Competition as he won the gold medal in the junior category.

In the women’s 25m pistol event final, Chinki Yadav from Madhya Pradesh claimed the top spot with a score of 32. Neeraj Kaur from the Border Security Force (BSF) won the silver medal with a score of 30 while Annu Raj Singh of Air India shot 27 and finished third on the podium.

At the 19th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Competition, which is being held in New Delhi alongside the national trials, experienced Sanjeev Rajput scored 623.2 to claim the gold medal in the men’s 50m rifle prone competition.
