Rio Olympics medal winners on Day 1 : Australia and Hungary lead the charge

12 gold medals were up for grabs on day 1 of the Rio Olympics, and although USA and China dominated the podium, it is Australia and Hungary who are dominating the medal table with two golds each. Virginia Thrasher won the Women's 10m Air Rifle event to win the first Olympic medal of this edition.
