In a bid to improve India's Olympic record in the next Olympics, the Indian Government has opened its ears to the public and invited inputs on how we can do better at the games. The initiative has been put up at the mygov.in portal where viewers can send in their suggestions and feedback.

2016 was supposed to be the Olympics when India would reach the double digits in medals, but we ended with only a double – a silver and a bronze thanks to P V Sindhu and Sakshi Malik. In a bid to regain the momentum we have lost in this Olympics after the high of Rio, the Government has invited our views through its mygov.in portal.

The official statement that solicits the feedback reads, “In the recently concluded Rio Olympics 2016, India sent its largest ever Olympic contingent comprising of 118 athletes. Despite the large number of athletes, the Indian contingent managed to bag only 2 medals in the Games viz., one Silver medal in Badminton and one Bronze medal in Wrestling. Considering the size of our country it can be said that the present performance was not up to the country’s potential. Views/suggestions are invited on what specific steps need to be taken to realise full sporting potential of India in forthcoming Olympics in 2020, 2024 and 2028”.

You can leave your suggestions here at the Govt portal.
