Squash World Junior Championship | Rahul Baitha and Yash Fadte advance to third round; Advait Advik crashes out

In the WSF, World Junior Squash Championship, Rahul Baitha and Yash Fadte have managed to advance to the third round, while Advait Advik had to bow out of the Championship. In the second round, Advik was up against Marwan Tarek of Egypt, who overwhelmed Advik to claim victory in the Championship.

There were mixed results for the Indian Squash players at the WSF-World Junior Squash Championship at the Indian Squash Academy in Chennai on Wednesday. Along with Rahul Baitha and Yash Fadte, Veer Chotrani also made it to the third round. On the other hand, Advait Advik, Utkarsh Baheti, and Sankalp Anand went ousted from the of the Championship.

Rahul Baitha defeated Swiss player Nils Roesch by 11-5, 12-10, 11-8, whereas Yash Fadte overwhelmed German Abdel Rahman Ghait to enter in the third round. With Veer Chotrani beating Mikael Ismail by 11-8, 11-8, 13-11, he too entered the third round.

However, top seeded, Marwan Tarek of Egypt defeated Advait Advik in the second round and claimed his victory. Presenting a stiff competition, Advik was a fierce force to subdue. Ultimately, he had to surrender to Tarek by 11-5, 11-7, 11-7.
