Ramit Tandon enters final of Abu Dhabi Open

Indian squash ace Ramit Tandon has progressed into the final of Abu Dhabi Open as he defeated Shehab Essam of Egypt in four games 17-15, 6-11, 11-7, 11-2 in the semi-final. In the other PSA event, Mahesh Mangaonkar overcame another Egyptian, Ahmed Hosny’s challenge to go into quarter-final.

Abu Dhabi: India's Ramit Tandon is proving more than a handful as he stormed into the final of the Abu Dhabi Open, a PSA world tour event here on Friday.

The third-seeded Indian fought his way past Shehab Essam of Egypt in four games 17-15, 6-11, 11-7, 11-2 in the semi-final.

Elsewhere in Sandy Springs in USA, Mahesh Mangaonkar looked good to go far but Egyptian Ahmed Hosny, a qualifier stopped him at the quarterfinal stage in a fighting five-game tussle in the CAC Open, another PSA world tour event late on Friday. Mahesh made a spectacular come back from two games arrears to level scores but lost steam to the rival's grit in the final game. Hosny won 11-8, 12-10, 8-11, 9-11, 11-5.
