League leaders Indian Aces continued their fantastic run of form with a convincing 26-21 win over Japan Warriors in the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi on Friday.

The Indian pair of Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza provided the Aces with an early lead as they defeated the team of Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Mirjana Lucic-Baroni 6-4 in the mixed doubles tie. Mirza's serve was put under a bit of pressure in this game, but Bopanna and Mirza's solid gameplay at the nets dug them out in each game.

Agnieszka Radwanska continued her stunning form in this tournament with a comfortable 6-2 over Kurumi Nara to extend the Indian Aces' lead to 12-6.

In the third tie of the match, Indian tennis stars Rohan Bopanna and Leander Paes went up against each other in the men's doubles tie, with Ivan Dodig and Herbert as their partners respectively. The encounter turned out to be a humdinger as it headed to a shoot-out with both the teams tied at 5-5. Eventually, Paes' experience made the difference as Warriors won the tie 6-5.

Fabrice Santoro though, helped his team bounce back immediately with a 6-3 win over Thomas Enqvist in the men's legends singles match. The Frenchman is the most successful player in the legends category in this tournament this year, winning 33 of the 54 games so far.

Santoro's win provided the Aces with an unassailable lead at 23-15, which rendered the singles match between Ivan Dodig and Herbert inconsequential. The talented Frenchman brought some consolation for the Warriors with a 6-3 win.
