Grigor Dimitrov has reached his first ATP Tour final by edging past John Isner 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (12-10), in just two hours and will now face Nick Kyrgios for the title. Meanwhile, in the Women’s singles, Garbine Muguruza beat World No.1 Karoline Pliskova to set up the final date with Simona Halep.

Kyrgios reached his first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 final, beating Spanish veteran David Ferrer 7-6(3), 7-6(4) and the win marks the second consecutive victory against a Spanish great for Kyrgios, who upset incoming-World No. 1 Rafael Nadal 24 hours earlier. In the final encounter, the 22-year-old Australian will take on Dimitrov for the title who beat 14th seed John Isner 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (12-10) in a gripping semi-final encounter.

In the past two months, Kyrgios is struggling with hip and shoulder injuries but he proved his fitness through his back-to-back twin wins on Saturday. His only previous appearance in a Masters 1000 final came in this year's Miami Open where he played a classic against Roger Federer before succumbing. Kyrgios will aim for Australia’s first Masters series championship since 2003 when Lleyton Hewitt won at Indian Wells.

It will not easy for the Australian as Dimitrov has found his top gear this week at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Cincinnati, not dropping a set en route to his 12th ATP World Tour final and third of the year. He lifted the trophy in Brisbane and Sofia to open his 2017 campaign.

In the women’s singles, Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza beat world number one Karolina Pliskova 6-3 6-2 to secure a place in the final of the tournament. Now She will face Romanian challenge in the form of second-seeded Halep who won the second semi-final 6-2, 6-1 over Sloane Stephens of America in just 56 minutes.
