Leander Paes and American Jamie Cerretani have made it through to the semi-finals of the Dubai Tennis Championships after beating fourth seeds Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus 2-6, 6-4, [10-7]. They will now face Damir Dzumhur and Filip Krajinovic in the semi-final of the ATP 250 event.

The Indo-American team got off to the worst possible start as they were broken by their opponents in the very first game of the match. They went onto concede another break in the seventh game to gift away the first set quite easily by a score of 6-2. The second set saw a much tighter affair as only three break-point opportunities were afforded in the first nine games with none being converted.

Finally, in the tenth game of the match, Paes and Cerretani converted a break point to take the match into a super tie-breaker, where they emerged victorious by a score of 10-7.

Paes and Cerretani will now face Damir Dzumhur and Filip Krajinovic, who beat top seeds Henri Kontinen and John Peers in straight sets of 7-6, 7-6, in the last four of the $3,057,135 ATP event.
