Yogeshwar Dutt guides Haryana Hammers to third win in PWL

Haryana Hammers defeated UP Warriors 4-3 in a thrilling contest in the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) on Saturday as Icon player Yogeshwar Dutt came from behind to register a 9-4 victory against UP Warrior’s Vikas Kumar.

In a night of exciting wrestling at the GBU indoor stadium in Noida, the final bout of the day once again played the role of a decider with the scores tied at 3-3. The deciding bout of men’s 65kg started with Vikas Kumar stunning the Olympic Bronze medallist in the first round with a take-down to go three points up in the scoreboard. The UP team wrestler added one more point to his kitty by pushing his opponent out of the playing area. Yogeshwar came back into the match before the first round ended by producing a take-down of his own to cut his rival’s lead to one.

The veteran came up with a brilliant performance in the second round to pin his opponent to the mat to guide Haryana Hammers to their third victory in the tournament.

In the second match of UP leg, Bengaluru Yodhas will take on Punjab Royals at the GBU indoor stadium on Sunday evening.
