Mumbai Garuda decimate Haryana Hammers to lift Pro Wrestling League trophy

In the opening bout of the day, Amit Dhankar provided the perfect start for Mumbai by launching attack after attack on the Haryana wrestler. He raced to a 4-0 lead within the two minutes, and extended it to 8-0 at the end of the first round. He required only eight more seconds in the second round as he brought Vishal down to the mat and clinched the bout 12-0 to give his side a 1-0 lead in the match.

Haryana came roaring back into the match by registering victories in the next two bouts with World Champion Oksana Herhel and Livan Lopez Azcuy winning their bouts.

In the fourth bout of the finals, Adeline Gray defeated Geetika Jakhar 10-0 and maintained her unbeaten run in the tournament. Adeline took the first point by pushing Geetika out of the mat, and did it yet again to make it 2-0 under the two minute mark. Adeline ended the first round with a brilliant take down to make it 5-0. The World Champion required just two more minutes to make it 10-0, and eventually sealed the bout through technical superiority to level the match at 2-2.

Odunayo Adekuoroye joined the ranks of Adeline as she too maintained a clean sheet in the tournament. Odunayo attacked from the word go and raced away to a 5-0 lead in the first round. Tatyana fought back in the second round, but all her attempts went in vain as Odunayo counter-attacked to gain two more points. She roped in four more points by the end of the round to win the bout 9-0.

Odikadze Elizbar confirmed Mumbai’s victory defeating Andriitesey Valerii 6-4 in the seventh bout of the day. Mumbai also won the last two bouts to register a 7-2 victory and to lift the inaugural PWL title.
