Parupali Kashyap and HS Prannoy have won their respective semi-final matches of the BWF US Open to book a final date with each other. On the other hand, Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy lost to LU Ching Yao and YANG Po Han and failed to enter the final in men’s doubles.

Second seeded Indian Prannoy faced 15 seed Vietnam’s Tien Minh Nguyen in the semifinals where he registered an easy win. Prannoy thrashed him in straight sets 21-14, 21-19 and the Indian booked his ticket for the final in 40 minutes.

In another encounter, P Kashyap overcame Korean player Kwang Hee Heo but the Indian found it little difficult as the result of the match was decided with the three sets. Kashyap didn’t miss the chance and registered a 15-21, 21-15, 21-16 and ensured that the US Open title will be won by an Indian.

On the other hand, the men’s doubles players failed to continue their winning momentum as the third-seeded duo of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy suffered a 21-12, 12-21, 22-20 loss to top-seeded Chinese Taipei pair of LU Ching Yao and YANG Po Han. The duo took 54 minutes to stop the journey of the Indian players.
