Hello, the 2nd edition of our exciting, informative & concise (300 word, Mother promise) newsletter on Indian sports is here. Much thanks for all the response to the 1st!

Onto #cricket

Sub-continental pitches & 5-wicket hauls from Ashwin are getting all too familiar - 13 fifers in sub-continent for Ashwin, joint highest with Waqar! He broke the back of SA’s top order, getting 4 of the first 5 wickets. SA ended up 17 runs short of India’s 1 innings score, thanks to a counter-attacking 63 by ABD! And, why is Saha keeping for India again? Dropped a catch, missed ABD’s edge and in between, got Amla out outrageously by chesting the ball on to the stumps. Yes he chested it, and yes, we are yet to get to ISL!

Moving to #Archery

Superb news from the Asian Championships! Indians made it to 5 final events today – Compound Men’s Team & Individual Finals, Compound Women’s Team & Individual Finals and Recurve women’s. India literally owned the Compound event (the article has a nice explanation on what the event is btw). Archery giants South Korea stand in the way of us in all the events tomorrow.

#LetsFootball

Delhi Dynamos nicked a 1-1 draw off Mumbai FC in the 94 minute (woah!), thanks to Robin Singh! (Did you know we predicted a 1-1 score earlier in the dayJ) Big thumbs up for ISL when Bagan & Mumbai forward Michale Norde stated that ISL is tougher than I-league. FC Goa coach Zico has also come out in support of #oneleague!

In other news...

Sports administration in India can never be free of a controversy! AITA, India’s apex body for Tennis, is going to court against the Govt. on its Prez’s election. BCCI is all set to rejig the selection committee with Binny looking set to go (maybe the right move, what with son Roger playing for India).

Also, Asian shooting championship is on and India has won 13 medals today! The ever-consistent Heena Sidhu has bagged another Gold in the 10m Air Pistol event. In Tennis, Bopanna-Mergea go down fighting in Paris Masters QFs.

If you enjoyed this, do share it – a host of buttons below and left are there for it! Also, let us know your comments below!

Signing off until tomorrow!

New Zealand need 107 runs to win with ten wickets and a day in hand to seal an emphatic win in Indian soil. Sarfaraz Khan’s 150 coupled with Rishabh Pant’s 99 set up India’s 462 runs, albeit the second new ball did the trick for the Kiwis with the hosts losing the last seven wickets for 29 runs.
