India's Joshna Chinappa entered the Quarterfinals of the Qatar Classic squash tournament by crushing Yathreb Adel of Egypt 16-14, 11-8, 11-8 in straight sets at Doha on Monday.

Chinappa had earlier defeated World No.1 Raneem El Welily enroute to the second route. Incidentally, Adel had claimed the other Indian in the fray, Dipika Pallikal in the opening round. The victory ends a long drought in Chinappa's career since her last final eight finish at a PSA World Series in 2013.

On the men's side, Indian Saurav Ghosal lost in straight sets to Egyptian Fares Dessouki 11-7, 11-8, 11-3 in the first round on Sunday.
