New BCCI president to be decided on October 4

A special general meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on October 4 will decide the new president, left vacant following the demise of Jagmohan Dalmiya earlier this month.
Nominations for the post will have to be filed by October 3, according to news reports.
Former president Shashank Manohar appears to be the frontrunner for the position following a week of relentless speculation, including the candidature of former president Sharad Pawar.
