“Don’t visit Casinos”: BCCI’s message to Indian cricketers in Australia

The decision to impose the ban was taken by BCCI president Shashank Manohar and secretary Anurag Thakur with the team staying at a five-star hotel in Melbourne, which has one of the famous casinos in Australia.

According to a report in the Indian Express, BCCI took the decision as it did not want to take the risk of cricketers meeting the “wrong people” or being seen at the “wrong place” in these casinos.  The board’s decision also comes on the back of the recent controversy involving Indian-origin South African cricketer Gulam Bodi allegedly attempting to fix the T20 matches in South Africa T20 league.
