Ahead of India’s 250th Test at home in Kolkata, Cricket Association of Bengal will felicitate players from both the countries and former Bengal captains with specially minted coins. BCCI President Anurag Thakur is also expected to join the function at Eden Gardens.

After India defeated New Zealand by 197 runs in the 500th Test of the nation, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is gearing up to celebrate the 250th home Test of India on 30th September.

A coin embossed with ‘250’ will be given to the players of both the countries and former captains of Bengal Cricket Team. CAB has also invited the BCCI President Anurag Thakur to be a part of the occasion.

CAB Joint Secretary Avisekh Dalmiya said, “About 60 such coins will be minted. The coin will be presented to both the team members, former Bengal captains and the BCCI president who is also expected during match," reported PTI.

CAB plans to design a special coin for the match and will plant 250 saplings.
