Former Indian captain Bhaichung Bhutia has added another feature to his cap, after he was included in the list of 48 legends by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS). The 39-year-old finds himself in the august company of Pele, Diego Maradona and Alfredo Di Stefano.

Bhaichung, who has made 104 appearances for India, has been a recipient of the Arjuna Award and Padma Shri in the past. Back in 2014, the former East Bengal and Mohun Bagan striker was inducted into the Asian Football Hall of Fame.

IFFHS, established in 1984, is an organization that chronicles the history and records of association football. The organization has released the first phase of their Legends list, and Bhaichung is one of the nine Asian players who have been included.
