Not all Delhi Dynamos players have the quality to imbibe my work: Roberto Carlos

“When I was in Delhi, I did a lot of work with my players but they found it hard to take them. They don’t all have the quality you need,” Roberto Carlos was quoted as saying by the PTI.

The 42-year-old guided the Delhi Dynamos to the semi-finals of the ISL this season, where they lost to FC Goa over two legs. Roberto Carlos had earlier insisted that he will not return to coach Delhi next season, and reports have linked him with a move to Mumbai City FC instead.

Carlos revealed that his ultimate goal is to become the coach of the Brazilian national team in the future, and that at this moment, he is taking things 'slowly'.

“If I do a good job at the club where I am now, I’m sure there’ll be a lot of clubs who want Roberto Carlos as a coach. I’m a modern coach when it comes to training. I pick a lot of things up and I watch a lot of training sessions and follow a lot of leagues around the world. I’m taking things slowly, though.

“My goal one day is to be Brazil coach, but to get there I need to have a club career. I started well in Turkey. I started well in Russia and I did a good job in India,” Carlos said.
