Manchester United have made Victor Osimhen their top transfer target, with clear interest shown but no official bid yet. Osimhen has netted 28 goals in 32 games on loan at Galatasaray. With a €75m release clause, United face competition from Barcelona, PSG, Liverpool, and Juventus, but a Garnacho swap deal may reduce the fee.

After looking at the ongoing developments, it’s evident that Manchester United are pushing hard to sign Victor Osimhen as their prime striker target for the summer 2025 transfer window. The Nigerian forward, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been in sensational form this season, scoring 28 goals in 32 matches, including six in the Europa League.

While earlier reports suggested an official offer from United, respected Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba clarified that no bid has been made yet. However, he confirmed United have made it clear that Osimhen is their first choice. The striker has also attracted interest from other top clubs including Barcelona, Liverpool, and PSG. Juventus, too, are monitoring the situation. Napoli are reportedly willing to let Osimhen go for around €75 million (£64m), a fee considered reasonable for a player with 76 goals in 133 appearances for the Italian club.

United may attempt to reduce the cost by including Alejandro Garnacho, valued at £50 million, in a potential swap deal. Garnacho is believed to have quietly put his house up for sale, further fueling speculation. Osimhen’s preference is said to be a move to the Premier League, and with United lacking a consistent goal scorer this season, he could be the solution they need.
