Jaipur Pink Panthers aided by fine raiding by the stocky Rajesh Narwal and the lanky SonuNarwal, scored their second win to climb to the fourth position in the league table of PKL today at the Netaji Subhash Indoor Stadium. The team from the desert state inflicted their fifth straight defeat on Dabang Delhi.

The score line of 39-34 shows that Dabang Delhi K.C. went down fighting but it also must be said that they had no reason to lose after leading 15-13 at half-time. A miscalculation in the 38thminute by their former captain Ravinder Pahal with his side trailing by 34-33 cost them the match. He was given out in a do-or-die raid much to his surprise. With no review in hand Dabang Delhi K.C. could not challenge the decision. It appeared that Rohit Choudhary had earned a bonus before he himself and Ravinder went in.

It was an even encounter right from the word go. Kashiling Adake and Surjeet Singh kept on ticking the scoreboard for the losers and for their rivals it was Rajesh Narwal who did the bulk of the scoring in the first half. Sonu Narwal too put in good efforts.

Kashiling impressed towards the close of the first half with two brilliant raids. He got a couple to bring his side closer at 10-11 and after Rohit Rana picked up a yellow card to concede a technical point, Kashiling beat the rival defence to score a three point super-raid to put his side ahead. Kashiling scored another two -pointer to stretch the lead to 17-13.

It was Surjeet’s turn now to get into the scoring act. It forced a Jaipur all-out. Ravinder’s efforts raised hopes of a maiden win for Dabang Delhi K.C. for a brief time. He had a tally of 3 raid and 6 tackle points today. But in the end the brilliance of Rajesh and Sonu saw the former champions squeeze a well-deserved win.
