World’s top-ranked women’s pair of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis eased into the final of the WTA Wuhan Open tennis in Wuhan, China.

The top-seeded Indo-Swiss pair beat the fourth-seeded Chinese Taipei siblings, Chan Hao-Ching and Chan Yung-Jan, 6-2, 6-1 in 53 minutes in the semifinals, and will meet Monica Niculescu and Irina-Camelia Begu of Romania for the title.

It has been a good season for Mirza and Hingis, ranked number one and two in doubles respectively in the world. They are in line for their seventh title after winning at Guangzhou last week since coming together in March.

Mirza-Hingis, who won the Wimbledon and the US Open this season, went up a break to go 3-1 in the opening set before breezing past their opponents. The Indo-Swiss pair appeared to struggle a little with their service game, but carried sufficient power to overcome their opponents.
