Mirza-Hingis pair clinches sixth title of season at Guangzhou Open tennis

Indo-Swiss pair of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis won the WTA Guangzhou Open doubles title with a comfortable 6-3, 6-1 victory over unseeded Chinese, Xu Shilin and You Xiaodi in Guangzhou, China

Mirza and Hingis, ranked number one and two in the world in doubles, brushed aside their opponents in under an hour for their second straight title after the US Open.

It was their sixth title in 13 events since coming together in March – after Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Wimbledon and the US Open.

The pair starts top seeds at the WTA Wuhan Open in Wuhan, China, from September 27 to October 3.
