Hailing from Sirohi, Gujarat, Prerak Mankad is an Indian cricketer who consistently represents Saurashtra in domestic cricket. Born on April 23, 1994, in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, Prerak is a versatile player whose skills make him a valuable asset to any team. A right-handed batsman and a capable medium-pace bowler, Prerak's well-rounded abilities enhance his utility on the field. Prerak's journey in the world of cricket began with his T20 debut for Saurashtra against Rajasthan during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Kochi on January 7, 2016. In the subsequent month, from February 24 to 26, Prerak marked his First-Class debut for Saurashtra in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy against Mumbai. After the excellent domestic explosion, Prerak Mankad started playing in the IPL in the 2022 season and was selected by Punjab Kings during the mega auction for INR 20 lakhs. In the 2022 season, he could only play a single match in which he was able to score only 4 runs. Ahead of the IPL 2023 Prerak was selected by the Lucknow Super Giants at a base price of INR 20 lakhs. This was an opportunity for him to further showcase his skills in the grandest stage of the Indian Premier League. In this season he played 5 matches with a total of 93 runs, an average of 31.00 and a strike rate of 129.71. His highest score in the season was 64 runs. He hit a total of 12 boundaries and 2 sixes.
