Born on April 23, 1994, in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, Prerak is a versatile player whose skills make him a valuable asset to any team. After the excellent domestic explosion, Prerak Mankad started playing in the IPL in the 2022 season and was selected by Punjab Kings during the mega auction for INR 20 lakhs. In the 2022 season, he could only play a single match in which he was able to score only 4 runs. Ahead of the IPL 2023 Prerak was selected by the Lucknow Super Giants at a base price of INR 20 lakhs. This was an opportunity for him to further showcase his skills in the grandest stage of the Indian Premier League. In this season he played 5 matches with a total of 93 runs, an average of 31.00 and a strike rate of 129.71. His highest score in the season was 64 runs. He hit a total of 12 boundaries and 2 sixes.
