Rajasthan chased down a mammoth target of 302, set by Mumbai following a brilliant innings of 114 by Ajinkya Rahane, in 49 overs with 5 wickets in hand. The win keeps alive Rajasthan's hopes of qualifying for the next stage of the Vijay Hazare trophy.

Mumbai got off to a poor start with Rajasthan pacer Pankaj Singh ripping through the top order with some fine fast bowling– he ended up with figures of 4/55. When Tanveer-Ul-Haq dismissed Aditya Tare for a duck, Mumbai were left tottering at 44/4 in 11.4 overs.

However, Ajinkya Rahane and Surya Kumar Yadav pulled Mumbai out of the slump, with a 125-run partnership. Yadav was dismissed for 52 in the 37th over by Tanveer-Ul-Haq, but Rahane kept going at the other end and reached his century. The 27-year-old was well supported by some late cameos by Abhishek Nayar (25) and Iqbal Abdullah (31), as Mumbai picked up 132 runs in the last 14 overs.

Rajasthan's chase got off to a steady start with Dishant Yagnik (40) and Pramod Yadav (49) providing a solid base to the innings. However, with Yagnik and Yadav dismissed in quick succession, Rajasthan were left vulnerable at 110/3 in 23.1 overs.

Ashok Menaria (86) and Rajat Bhatia (94*) came to Rajasthan's rescue with two scintillating innings though, and steered Rajasthan to their third win of the tournament.
