Pakistan’s T20 captain Shahid Afridi said on Thursday that his team is looking forward to the match against India at Dharmasala on March 19 in the ICC World Cup T20 2016.

"It is a tough draw for us and we are looking forward to the second match against India in Dharamasala," he told the media on Thursday, reported PTI.

"We have little time left to prepare for the World T20 and we need to finalise our combination when we tour New Zealand next month," he added.

Pakistan are placed in Group 2 in the Super 10 round along with India, Australia, New Zealand and the Group A winner from the qualifiers.

"I say it is a tough draw for us because in T20 cricket they (sic) are no second chances. We have been making too many mistakes in recent matches and we need to leave that behind us now," he said, reported PTI.

The all-rounder also shared the excitement about the marquee clash with India on March 19 at Dharamsala.

"Everyone is excited about this match and I know we have never beaten them in a World Cup or World T20 match. So it is a big challenge for us and I hope it also motivates the team to do well and try to win the title once again," Afridi said, reported PTI.

Pakistan, who won the second edition of ICC World T20 in 2009 in England, is yet to beat their arch-rivals India in an ICC tournament. India holds an unbeaten record against the rivals, also beating Pakistan in the final of the inaugural edition of the event to lift the title in 2007.

“Results can be changed by playing well at any time so what has happened in the past is history. I can tell you we are already pumped up for the India match," Afridi said when asked about Pakistan’s record against India in ICC tournaments.

When asked about the resumption of bilateral cricketing ties between the two countries, the all-rounder put the onus on the respective boards to decide the fate of the series.

"What the PCB decides we will follow but as cricketers we know an Indo-Pak clash is followed all around the world and that pumps up the competition level for everyone," reported PTI.
