The BCCI has decided to forego the fine that was imposed on the West Indies Cricket Board after their players pulled out of their tour to India midway during the series in 2014. Shashank Manohar has confirmed that West Indies will travel to India in 2017 to play the remaining part of that series.

“That is now sorted out because they are going to come back and play here next year. They have to complete those games. That was a claim raised by the board. would be satisfied by them coming and playing here,” BCCI president Shashank Manohar told ESPNcricinfo.

Cricketing relationship between the two nations broke down after the West Indies players flew back to the Caribbean midway into the series in 2014, as their contract dispute with the WICB reached its peak. The BCCI imposed a penalty of $41.97 million on WICB for their loss in revenue, which has now been waived off.

Shashank Manohar also informed that the schedule for this series will be finalized by the end of May. Meanwhile, the WICB president Dave Cameron kept it simple when asked about the BCCI's decision, he said, “We stand by what ever Mr Manohar says”.
