British journalist Piers Morgan clearly did not know who he was dealing with when he took an unsporty jibe at India's poor show at the Olympics. Virender Sehwag who has taken Twitter by storm retorted to the presenter in his inimitable fashion shutting him up for good.

Piers Morgan is trending in Twitter India at the moment after his controversial non-funny tweet about India's performance at the Olympics. The presenter made fun of the way India is celebrating the two medals, a bronze and a silver, they have from the Rio Olympics. He tweeted saying

Giving a fitting reply to this tweet, ex- Indian opener Virender Sehwag immediately brought up England's performance in World Cup history. The cradle of cricket have never won a Cricket World Cup so far.

Virender Sehwag has been the toast of Twitter this summer as he has charmed audience with his tongue-in-cheek and irreverent style of humor. Morgan immediately struck a conciliatory note in response to Sehwag's tweet.

Morgan also came up with a reply to Sehwag's cricket jibe.

And then Sehwag retorted with another gem.

However, not all Indian Twitterati had Sehwag's swag. Some felt the brunt of the Englishman's sarcasm.

Free India's greatest-ever writer and self-proclaimed defender of India's pride Chetan Bhagat waded into the controversy. And the literary giant could not spell Morgan's first name and was ripped apart by Morgan, who responded in kind with a mis-spelling! Times when you wish we promoted better writers than this man.
