Western Australian Joel Paris and Victorian Scott Boland are all set to make their debut against India after Australia announced their XI for the first ODI of the five-match series at the WACA on Tuesday.

23-year old Joel Paris is a left-arm pacer, who has been fast-tracked into the ODI scene after the retirement of Mitchell Johnson and injury to Mitchell Starc at the end of last year. The Western Australian pacer will make his debut in front of a home crowd and is expected to take the new ball with Josh Hazlewood in a bowler-friendly pitch at Perth.

"Traditionally we like to play a left-amrer here who can use the breeze and move the ball so hopefully, he'll be able to do that for us tomorrow," Smith said at his pre-match captain's press conference, reported cricket.com.au.

26-year old Scott Boland, who has been on the fringes of the Australian team in the summer, will also make his debut tomorrow. However, Shaun Marsh, who has been in tremendous form for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League scoring 218 runs in five matches at a strike-rate of 128.24, failed to make the cut after George Bailey filled the spot left by retired Michael Clarke.

India is yet to name their playing XI, but rookie pacer Brainder Sran will be in line for a debut after an injury to Mohammed Shami.

Australia XI: Warner, Finch, Smith (c), Bailey, Maxwell, M Marsh, Wade (wk), Faulkner, Paris, Boland, Hazlewood.
