English pacer Brydon Carse has received a three-month ban for breaching betting regulations. The ban was imposed after it was discovered that Carse had placed bets on cricket matches, violating the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) anti-corruption code.

Brydon Carse has been banned from all cricket for three months for betting violations, ECB announced on Friday.
The investigation revealed that Carse placed a few bets on cricket matches, none of which involved games he played in or had any influence over. Carse has admitted to the breaches and accepted the sanction imposed by the ECB's disciplinary panel.

"We take these matters extremely seriously and do not condone any form of anti-corruption breach in cricket.”, ECB said in a statement on their official website. They further added, “We support the Cricket Regulator's decision and their consideration of the mitigating factors in Brydon's case. He has co-operated and shown remorse for his actions. We are satisfied that Brydon has shown growth in the five years since this breach and has demonstrated a greater understanding of his responsibilities.”

Due to the ban, the 28-year-old will be unavailable for selection in England's Test series against the West Indies this summer. Furthermore, Carse will remain ineligible for selection until August 28 this year.
