Amid the growing advancements in various realms, it is important to be innovative with one’s approach and bring about a change from the ordinary. Such an act came from no one but Haris Rauf who put his body on the line coupled with an innovative footy to save a boundary at the edge of the ropes.

Winning their second toss in as many games of the series, Australia didn’t hesitate to bat first at the SCG. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Matt Short’s blistering start was halted by Haris Rauf’s double-wicket fourth over that paved the way for Australia’s struggle. Following a 61-run powerplay, Glenn Maxwell seemed to struggle against the mix of pace and spin from the visitors.

In an attempt to up the ante, he slapped a length ball outside the stumps off a length down the ground with Rauf making an effort from long off to save the four. He dived sideways to save it but failed to cover maximum ground, leading to getting the job done by his leg. Eventually, he used his legs waywardly at the last moment to stop the ball from reaching the ropes an inch behind. The TV umpire reviewed the work and the Twitterverse lauded Rauf’s effort to save the four
