Star forward Sunil Chhetri, Udanta Singh, Amrinder Singh and Lalchhuanmawia Fanai will turn out for Mumbai City FC in the remainder of the ISL after last week’s AFC Cup final in which Bengaluru FC finished runners-up to Iraq’s Air Force Club.

“We are delighted to have Sunil, Amrinder, Fanai and Udanta join us. They return from an amazing journey with Bengaluru FC. Their achievements speak highly of their quality and hunger. Having them join us at this key point gives us a huge boost,” Mumbai City FC head coach Alexandre Guimaraes said.

Mumbai City FC currently lead the points table with four wins from nine matches and play Pune City FC next on Thursday.

Chhetri was captain of Bengaluru FC which became the first Indian team to qualify for the final of the premier AFC Cup. The side lost 1-0 in the final.

“We've had an incredible experience with Bengaluru FC and now we're extremely excited to join our teammates in the ISL. We have been following Mumbai City FC's progress and the results and performances from the team have been phenomenal,” Chhetri said.
