Legendary Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne feels that Yasir Shah and not Ravichandran Ashwin is the best spinner in the world at the moment. Shah has taken 116 wickets in the 20 Test matches that he has played for Pakistan so far while Ashwin has 247 in the 43 matches he has played so far.

“He (Yasir) is the best spinner of the world at the moment, in my opinion. His ability to bowl in all conditions (makes him special), he is a bundle of energy,” Warne said on channel 9 ahead of the first Test between Australia and Pakistan.

“No matter what the situation is he wants the ball in his hand. He is not a huge turner of the ball; largely depends on the straight delivery that skids of the track,” he added.

Shah and co, however, struggled to impose themselves in the match against the Aussies at Brisbane where the leggie finished the first innings with figures of 2/129 in 43.1 overs.
