The IPL has seen some controversies regarding umpires so far with both MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma being charged for questioning umpire's decisions. However, it appears that it has not affected umpire S Ravi, who literally laughed off Shahbaz Nadeem's ridiculous appeal for an LBW decision.

The incident occurred in the ninth over with Delhi in complete control having wiped out the Pune top order for a mere 55 runs. Bowling to MS Dhoni, the 27-year-old saw the former Indian captain advancing down the pitch and decided to go for his pads. With Dhoni almost three meters down the pitch, the ball hit his pads and deflected down the leg side.

Nadeem, who had picked up the wicket of du Plessis in his previous over decided to try his luck and started appealing for a leg-before. S Ravi, who was the umpire with the "tough decision" to make opted to just smile at the appeal rather than give a decision. Embarrassed, Nadeem made his way back to his bowling mark where Ravi gave him a slight pat on the back which was enough to bring a smile on the bowler's face as well.

While some of the controversies in this season's IPL have been over the top, it is heartening to see that the players and umpires are still willing to share a few funny moments on the pitch.
