India dropped one spot to fourth place in the ICC ODI rankings released on Sunday despite their 2-1 series victory over England. Australia (119) continue to hold the top ranking while New Zealand leapfrogged India to third on the back of their 2-0 Chappell-Hadlee ODI series win over Australia.

The Kiwis earned two ranking points from the series win to move to 113, one point ahead of India (112) and could stay there for some time as India's are not scheduled to play any ODIs until the Champions Trophy in London in June.

Luckily for Australia, the series loss to their trans-Tasman rivals did not affect their ranking. But if South Africa, currently second with 118 points, win both their remaining ODIs against Sri Lanka for a clean sweep, they could dethrone Australia, who don't have any ODIs scheduled until the Champions Trophy.

South Africa are scheduled to play New Zealand in a five-match ODI series next.
