Vasundhara Raje, on Monday, included a cash reward of ₹ 25 lakh for U-19 World Cup winner Kamlesh Nagarkoti in her Budget Speech for 2018. The 18-year-old bagged nine wickets in the six matches he played, at an average of 16.33, in the World Cup which led to KKR shelling out ₹ 3.2 crores for him.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti stunned the world by bowling at a speed of 149 km/hr in the recently concluded U-19 World Cup in New Zealand. The speedster from Rajasthan helped India win the World Cup with the pace and bounce and on Monday was rewarded with a ₹ 25 lakh rupees cash reward for his performance in the World Cup by Rajasthan Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti enjoyed a perfect January as he not only was the second highest wicket-taker for India at the World Cup but was also bought for a whopping 3.2 crores by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2018 IPL auctions. The Indian pace bowler was the second costliest U-19 player to be sold in the auctions and will now get a chance to work with the likes of Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc in the IPL for KKR, who will help him in enhancing his bowling attributes.
