Bangladesh's bowling all-rounder Saifuddin is set to miss the T20I series against India as he has not yet recovered fully from a back injury. Saifuddin's death bowling is an asset that Bangladesh will miss in the three T20Is that they are going to play in India, starting in November.

Mohammad Saifuddin was suffering from a aback injury right from the World Cup, where he had to take painkillers and play. He was initially included in the 15-man squad that would tour India for the T20Is but was later ruled out as he wasn.t fully recovered from his back injury.

''I don't think he will be able to play [against India in the T20 series],'' BCB's chief selector Minhajul Abedin told Cricbuzz.

''We will talk with Julian tomorrow to take a final decision, but what I understand is that it won't be possible for him to take part in the T20 series,"' he added.

Saifuddin was also a part of the ODI squad for the series against Sri Lanka. But it was deemed sensible to give him ample rest in order to prevent the injury from aggravating.  In the tri-nation T20I series involving Zimbabwe and Afghanistan, his back injury re-occurred and it was decided that he couldn't take further part after undergoing additional scans.

Saifuddin is likely to be sent to England for further scans, biomechanical tests and surgery to get rid of this problem once and for all.
