After scoring a century in one-off Test against England, Ravindra Jadeja has stated that there is nothing better than doing good for India. Jadeja also added that he has moved on from IPL controversy when he was appointed captain before the start of the season but stepped down due to poor outings.

Ravindra Jadeja faced a lot of controversy before the start of one-off Test against England, He was appointed as the captain of Chennai Super Kings before the start of the current season. However, he had to hand over the captaincy back to MS Dhoni mid-season as the team suffered poor outings under his leadership. Jadeja has now played a pivotal role in the ongoing Test. 

India were reduced to 98/5 at one stage but Jadeja and Rishabh Pant forged an impressive partnership to help India cross the 400-run mark. Jadeja scored 104 runs from 194 balls and played a brilliant knock. Reflecting on his own innings, Jadeja said that there is nothing better than doing good for the national team and also mentioned that he has moved on from the IPL incident. 

“What happened, happened. IPL was not on my mind. Whenever you are playing for India, your entire focus needs to be on the Indian team. It was the same for me, there is no better satisfaction that performing well for India,” Jadeja said at the press conference.

Jadeja’s innings become more special as he scored a century in swinging conditions. Also, his batting form in recent years has been impressive and he has been playing some decisive knocks while batting lower down the order. Jadeja expressed his joy over scoring a ton in England. 

"It feels really good to do it outside India, especially in England. To hit a 100 as a player is a really big thing. I can really take some confidence in myself as a player from this, to score a 100 in England especially in swinging conditions, so yeah it feels really good," he expressed.
