Sri Lanka’s terrible running between the wickets on the last ball of the over was a huge example and was not appreciated by head coach Sanatha Jayasuriya.

‌The last Super Fours game of the Asia Cup turned out to be thrilling game which ended in a tie. The Lankan batters  put up a great fight in an attempt to chase down the massive score of 202 set by the Men in Blue as 12 runs were needed of the final over. Though the over was started well by Harshit Rana, a boundary by Dasun Shanaka got the equation down to just three off the last delivery which led to some funny turn of events with both teams making errors during the crucial ,moment of the game.

Rana had cramped up the Shanaka on the last ball who mistimed the ball and as mid wicket fumbled the ball, the Liyanage had already dived at the strikers end. There was bit of drama caused as Harshit Rana also fumbled the ball at the other end as well, but the batters did not attempt a run and the game ended in a tie. While this was frustrating for all the Lankan players, their head coach, Sanath Jayasuriya at all as he was upset with the poor running between the wickets by the batters and gave a furious reaction from the dugout.
