A few days back, the Australian team was worried as they had lost the first Test against Bangladesh. But now, it seems that their dominance in the game is back, which has been possible due to the performances of Mitchell Starc. Australia started the series by losing the first game by 9 wickets.

In the second Test at South Mackay, Bangladesh was sent to bat first. And this is where their Starc nightmare started. He went on to take 6 wickets for just 12 runs in the first innings, eventually bowling out Bangladesh for just 64 runs.

Later Australia went on to post a strong total in their first innings, as Cameron Green and Steven Smith did well with the bat. As Bangladesh stepped out to bat again, Starc unleashed his inner beast again in this game. In the third innings of the game, he finished with the figures of 4/39, as Bangladesh was bowled out for 95, allowing Australia to get a massive win.

Our Take

Mitchell Starc has been the key player who made the comeback for the Australian team possible. He went on to take 10 wickets in the second match alone, which played a key role to finish the entire Test match in just five sessions. Fans expected the game to be of five days, but now it hardly lasted two days. And this was all due to the fact that a 36 year old fast bowler decided to wrap things up as quickly as possible.
