Moreover, this day has started to be more lucky for the Hitman. It is also the same day when he made his debut for the Indian cricket team, 19 years back. Almost two decades of his service to the Indian team, with various ICC trophies, and many more records to his name. Now, he has also added the Padma Shri Award.
Our Take
Rohit Sharma has done a lot for the Indian cricket team, both as a captain and a player. He was nominated to win the Padma Shri Award for his contributions to the team as a captain, as the Indian team won the Champions Trophy 2025 and T20 World Cup 2024 under his captaincy. Even though he is aged 39, he has dominated the game like a beast, as he prepares for the upcoming ODI series against England.
